Luxembourg City

The Old City of Luxembourg is located mainly in Ville Haute (Uewerstad) in Luxembourg City, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The site was added as City of Luxembourg: its Old Quarters and Fortifications to the UNESCO World Heritage list in 1994.

The Bock (Luxembourgish: Bockfiels) is a promontory in the north-eastern corner of Luxembourg City's old historical district. It was here that Count Siegfried built his Castle of Lucilinburhuc in 963, providing a basis for the development of the town that became Luxembourg.

The Adolphe Bridge (Luxembourgish: Adolphe-Bréck, French: Pont Adolphe, German: Adolphe-Brücke) is a double-decked arch bridge in Luxembourg City, in southern Luxembourg. The bridge provides a one-way route for road traffic across the Pétrusse, from Boulevard Royal, in Ville Haute, to Avenue de la Liberté, on the Bourbon Plateau in Gare.

The Grand Duke Jean Museum of Modern Art (French: Musée d'art moderne Grand-Duc Jean), abbreviated to Mudam, is a museum of modern art in Luxembourg City, in southern Luxembourg. The museum stands on the site of the old Fort Thüngen, on the southwestern edge of the Kirchberg-plateau, in close proximity to many of the European Union institutions based within the city.

The Grand Ducal Palace (Luxembourgish: Groussherzogleche Palais, French: Palais grand-ducal, German: Großherzogliches Palais) is a palace in Luxembourg City, in southern Luxembourg. It is the official residence of the grand duke of Luxembourg, and where he performs most of his duties as head of state of the grand duchy, though his principal residence is Berg Castle, in Colmar-Berg.

Place Guillaume II (French pronunciation: [plas ɡijom dø]) is a town square in Luxembourg City, in southern Luxembourg. The square is in the heart of Luxembourg's historic Ville Haute quarter.

The Philharmonie Luxembourg, also known officially as the Grande-Duchesse Joséphine-Charlotte Concert Hall (French: Salle de concerts grande-duchesse Joséphine-Charlotte, German: Konzertsaal Großherzogin Joséphine-Charlotte), is a concert hall located in the European district in the Luxembourg City quarter of Kirchberg. Opened in 2005, it now plays host to 400 performances each year.

The architecture of Luxembourg probably extends back to the Treveri, a Celtic tribe who prospered in the 1st century BC. A few ruins remain from the Roman occupation but the most significant contributions over the centuries have been the country's castles and churches.

Neimënster Abbey (Luxembourgish: Abtei Neimënster, French: Abbaye de Neimënster, German: Abtei Neumünster), officially known as Neumünster Abbey until 2014, is a public meeting place, cultural centre, and former Benedictine abbey located in the Grund district of Luxembourg City in southern Luxembourg.

Parc Merl (Luxembourgish Märeler Park) is an urban park in Luxembourg City, in southern Luxembourg. Despite its name, the park is not located in the quarter of Merl, but in Hollerich.
