Troy (Greek: Τροία, romanised: Troíā; Hittite: 𒆳𒌷𒋫𒊒𒄿𒊭, romanised: Truwiša/Taruiša; Latin: Troia) or Ilion (Greek: Ἴλιον, romanised: Ī́lion; Hittite: 𒌷𒃾𒇻𒊭, romanised: Wiluša) was an ancient city located in present-day Çanakkale, Turkey. It is best known as the setting for the Greek myth of the Trojan War.

The Museum of Troy (Turkish: Troya Müzesi) is an archaeological museum located close to the archaeological site of the ancient city of Troy, in present-day northwestern Turkey. Opened in 2018, it exhibits in seven sections of a contemporary architectural building the historical artefacts from Troy and some other ancient cities around and on nearby islands.

Kilitbahir Castle (Turkish: Kilitbahir Kalesi) is a fortress on the west side of the Dardanelles, opposite the city of Çanakkale, where there is a corresponding fortress (Kale-i Sultaniye), from which Çanakkale takes its name. The two castles were constructed by Fatih Sultan Mehmet in 1463 to control the straits at their narrowest point.

Assos (; Ancient Greek: Ἄσσος, Latin: Assus) was an ancient Greek city near today's Behramkale (pronounced [behˈɾamkale]) or Behram for short, which most people still call by its ancient name of Assos. It is located on the Aegean coast in the Ayvacık district of Çanakkale province, Turkey.
